"Listening to your body is a link in the chain of change and healing." These are wise words offered to me in my WiSh (Wisdom Share) Series with Bev Liebson about the power of taking the time to notice what we feel in our bodies.
So much of the time the answers to our health challenges are within, but we don't always know how to read the signs and recognise them.
Mind body connection healing is about focusing your thoughts so that you can think yourself healthy. The process involves visualizing parts of your body healing, and the belief is, that as you visualize this, healing will happen.
Here are some helpful tips on how you can do this:
1.Relax in a quiet place. The calm that you feel will bring you to a place where mind body connection healing can begin.
2.Begin breathing exercises by inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth to an even rhythm. Focus on your breathing
3. If you're in pain, visualize the colour red where you feel the pain. As you breath, see those red areas slowly fading. Feel the pain or fade away.
Mind body connection healing sounds like a very strange way to bring about a solution to your illness, but it makes sense. Studies have shown that patients who have a very positive outlook on their situation and who believe they will recover, do much better than those who do not believe they will recover.
The most natural way to heal yourself is to listen to what your body is telling you and what it needs.
